Combining his decade long experience of how the small group market actually works, with his understanding of data, statistics, and computers, Erick began developing computer models around various benefits challenges. His main interest is in building tools that lead to better decision making, he has been contracted by several agencies to develop tools centered around network and pharmacy disruption, payroll withholding modeling, and opportunity costing of APTC subsidies. He founded Benefit Sculptor in 2018 as a decision analysis tool for comparing small group health insurance options.
